Job Summary:
With general supervision from the Food and Beverage Assistant Managers this position will supervise Food and Beverage Personnel on assigned shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in management of all Front House Food and Beverage Personnel, including staffing, training, and monitoring performance
Help in giving employees breaks when needed
Understand, endorse, teach and enforce the Canterbury Park mission, philosophy, policies and procedures
Orient, train and develop personnel in his/her area of responsibility
Identifies the need for disciplinary action, recommends steps to accomplish the actions with the help of Food and Beverage Assistant manager
Maintains and safeguards the inventory of products, supplies and equipment
Increase guest satisfaction level by delivering an improved product through associate development, job engineering and quality image
Analyzes customer compliments and complaints and follows up on them
Maintains a positive team environment
Develops, gains approval of and implements plans, objectives and goals for his/her area of responsibility
Perform other duties as assigned

Supervision: (depending on area)
Food Stand Associates, Wait Assistant, Bartenders and Servers

Required Qualifications:
Must have High School Diploma or GED.
At least 18 years of age or older is required.
Minimum of 2 years of Food & Beverage Industry experience.
Previous supervisory experience is required.
Must be able to obtain an MRC license.

Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to learn quickly and work well under pressure.
Should be mature, responsible, dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in concessions is preferred.

Flexibility of schedule is required. Available to work varied shifts included days, nights and weekends during live racing.
